Presidential Resolution

History

  • In 2003, UAL/K5 was awarded a 25-year concession agreement by the Government of Equatorial Guinea to develop a Freeport & Oilfield services logistics base on a 70 hectare site.
  • In late 2006 K5 qualified for Presidential Resolution No 06-3597-010 and was assured government’s support for investment into Equatorial Guinea.
  • The resolution awards K5 Oil Centre its special Free Zone status for the duration of its 25 year concession agreement. This means duty free transit storage and duty free transshipments of cargo.

Current

  • K5’s contract with the Government (the concession agreement) was reassured and confirmed by the EG Minister of Mines – in August of 2013 – when K5 required a licence for its recently launched bunkering facility with an operator. This licence was also approved by the Minister of Mines. Along with that K5 was re-issued their Freeport Status, personally signed off by the President of E.G. early 2013.

K5 continues developing its services & operations !
